Job Position: Accountant Ref: 4833 Location: PE/Gqeberha Salary: R50 000 per month commensurate with qualification and experience Email your CV to recruit@onlinepersonnel.co.za Qualifications / Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CA qualification is not required but would be advantageous) • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment • Experience with accounting software (e.g. SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, etc) • Ability to think quickly, problem solve and interact effectively with executives under pressure. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial personnel • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality • Technical - knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts payables, stock, bank and cash and account receivables • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Syspro. Intermediate proficiency in Excel Key Competencies: • Self-management – attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture • Self-driven, disciplined and accountable • Ability to define and analyse a problem, gather necessary information, and draw valid conclusions for problem resolution • Welcoming constructive criticism • Ability to become proficient in the organisation’s various systems • Ability to work in a small office environment as part of a team • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English • The ability to read, write and speak in other languages is desirable • Ability to communicate professionally via all forms of media, both verbal and written • A mature candidate with extensive experience and a demonstrated track record of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality • Proactive and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities Key Performance Areas: • Responsible for managing financial records, analysing financial data, and ensuring the company’s financial health • Possess strong Excel skills, an accounting qualification, and the ability to work under pressure, especially when interacting with senior executives • Month-end processing for various companies and provide business analytical insights across subsidiaries • Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements • Perform monthly reconciliations and financial reporting • Analyse financial data and provide insights and recommendations to management across subsidiaries • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards • Prepare for and assist with audits, both internal and external • Provide quick, accurate responses to executive queries, including ad-hoc financial reporting • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes • Support month-end and year-end close processes • Perform other related duties, as assigned
