Our clientSouth African based software company focusing on electronic transaction processing, back-office administration, and retail banking solutions. They're constantly exploring new ways to expand and innovate their offering to clients, to remain market leaders in the banking and financial industry. The company is based in Gauteng.This is a hybrid role in a software agile environment which you will be working from the office every day for the first 2-3 months. Developers will be working on and rewriting legacy systems - this will be a 50 / 50 split. Primary Purpose of the Job Manage the day-to-day running of the Quality Assurance department to ensure efficient testing of new and existing software takes place. Knowledge, Skills and Experience :Manage the day-to-day running of the Quality Assurance department to ensure efficient testing of new and existing software takes placeTeam needs new ideas, Have been doing a lot of manual testing and moving into Automation - hence Automation background needed to bring into structure and operationsBest Practice implementationHigh pressure, deadlines are tight, team focus on new clients, enhancements, production space,Ideally exposed to Finance and banking due to their core function5-10 years’ experience at Team Lead levelMust have been exposed to big software projects and deployments.Reporting and proper documentation and Testing Manuals. Must be able to look at structures of Testing TeamsNeed to analyse processes, look and maintain industry standards, best practicesNew innovation, optimize policiesStrong interpersonal skills as there will be interaction with internal and external stakeholders Minimum Education :Matric or equivalent qualification recognized by the Department of Higher Education & TrainingTertiary education: IT Diploma or IT degreeTesting Certification is ideal e.G.: ISTQB Interpersonal Relationships :Fundamental interpersonal relationships, but not limited to:- Fellow Colleagues & departments- Teamleaders- Managers- Executives- Clients Special Requirements :Willing to work overtime (As an exception when required)Must have own and reliable transport Personal Attributes :High level of personal integrity and ethicsAccountability and ownership mentalityMust have good administrative and analytical skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsStress management skillsTime management skillsTarget orientatedDecision-making skillsProblem solving skillsAttention to detail and a high level of accuracyFocusedDedicated- Sounds like you?
