Marketing Manager / Events Co-Ordinator required for a renowned company based in East London EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field – or equivalent experience or trainingDemonstrable expertise in marketing management (for example, through successful campaigns or a strong digital presence)Solid knowledge of Google Analytics, Google AdWords campaigns, and SEO/SEM strategiesCompetency in marketing automation technologyExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust also have relevant experience in the hospitality industryThe marketing manager’s key duties include: Developing comprehensive marketing and branding campaignsOverseeing the company's presence on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TwitterConducting in-depth market research to inform strategiesManaging the marketing budget to maximize return on investment (ROI)Analyzing data from campaigns and social media engagement to refine marketing approachesThe marketing manager possesses the following skills and will also be responsible for the following: Data analysis: Uses tools like Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel to understand and evaluate market trends, customer behaviours, and campaign performanceContent creation and management: Develops compelling and relevant content tailored to different stages of the customer journeyDigital marketing expertise: Has a strong grasp of various paid and unpaid digital marketing channels – including social media marketing, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), content marketing, and moreStrategic planning: Conducts thorough market research, analyzes competitors, and develops marketing strategies that align with business goalsBudget management: Is proficient in allocating and managing budgets across campaigns and channels to maximize ROI while ensuring cost-effectivenessTechnical skills: Is familiar with marketing automation tools, content management platforms, and basic HTML/CSS for managing digital marketing initiatives and websites Soft skills required: Creativity and empathy: Can devise innovative campaigns that stand out in a competitive market and understand how to read and engage audiences in unique waysCommunication skills: Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills for creating succinct marketing content and collaborating effectively with sales, customer success, and other cross-functional teamsTeamwork: Is able to work collaboratively with different departments, external agencies, and partnersLeadership and team management: Has ability to inspire, direct, and manage othersKey Responsibilities with regards to event co-ordination:Customer Service:Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining excellent service standards.Address member and guest inquiries, concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.Develop and maintain positive relationships with members and guests.Event Coordination:Assist in setting up and executing events, tournaments, and private functions.Coordinate with other departments (catering/golf/admin) to ensure smooth event operations.Oversee event setup, bar service and breakdown.Assumes Closing Manager and/or Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities when assigned on occasionAssist in evaluating event success through attendee feedback, analytics, and post-event surveys. This feedback loop helps in understanding what worked well and areas for improvement for future events.Ensures that all appropriate charges are billed to the correct DM numbers for each event.Performs other tasks as requested by the Events Manager.The Marketing Manager will assume the responsibilities of the Events Manager during their absence due to leave, days off, or sick leave periodsCollaborates closely with the Event Manager, assists the Events Coordinator, and supports the Events Supervisor within the team.Marketing and Promotion:Implement marketing strategies to promote bar services and special offers.Create and execute promotional events and activities.The Marketing Manager will collaborate with the Events Manager to develop an annual calendar of events.Assist in securing sponsorships and partnerships that align with the event's objectives.
