• Perform maintenance and repairs on boilers, pressure vessels, and other types of plant equipment • Conduct inspections to identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, ensuring adherence to safety standards • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to schedule repairs and ensure minimal disruption to plant operations • Fabricate and install new components, utilizing welding and other metalworking techniques • Organize and assemble boiler parts • Shape and fabricate parts • Clean pressure vessel equipment • Inspect equipment for proper functioning Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills Proficiency in welding, metal fabrication, and the use of related tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to boiler construction and maintenance. Physical Fitness Ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces or at heights. Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks over long periods. Experience and Education Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training program in boilermaking or a related field. Previous experience working as a boilermaker, especially in the mining industry, is highly desirable. Safety Consciousness Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Working Conditions Environment: Work is typically performed at mining sites, which can be remote and involve exposure to outdoor elements and potentially hazardous conditions.
