Database Content Administrator Description This person will be responsible for loading rates, policies, and maintaining the Tourplan system, as well as tending to brand queries. Responsibilities DATA CAPTURING • Capture of Rates & Policies • Checking of rates and policies • Extranet Loading • Apply mark-ups to rates on Tourplan (Rate Maintenance) • Assist with Allocation capturing/ Freesale when needed • Scheduled Tours Loading when needed • Loading of all agents • Assist Loading of all suppliers when needed • Assist Loading of Guides when needed QUALITY CONTROL • Always ensure a high percentage of accuracy within the database. • Record keeping as per departmental procedures. RATE QUERIES • Maintain supporting documentation for rate loading. • Advanced Business unit Support. SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS • Understanding supplier products and contracts. • Develop knowledge on destinations and products. AREA OF EXPERTISE • Understand rate Distribution cycle • Understand Agent brochure cycle • Understanding of Supplier’s contracts Requirements Qualifications and Expertise • Matric (Grade 12) • A Travel/Tourism qualification would be an advantage • Knowledge of and experience using Tourplan is a requirement • Strong MS Office knowledge is a requirement • 2 years’ work experience • Data loading experience would be an advantage • Tour Operator experience AREA OF EXPERTISE • Understand rate Distribution cycle • Understand Agent brochure cycle • Understanding of Supplier’s contracts Competency • Tourplan • MS Excel • MS Word • MS Outlook Salary The salary for this position is competitive and dependent on relevant experience.
