Duties/Pligte- Designing and manufacturing systems and subsystems of projects;- Project and resource management of work requests;- Providing advice and guidance regarding mechanical or electronic design to colleagues and students;- Providing technical and logístical support to students with practicals and project work;- Managing the budget, finances and purchases of the workshop;- Planning and managing maintenance and development of the workshop area and equipment;- Developing procedures and standards for using the workshop;- Managing and mentoring technical staff;- Undertaking occasional project-related local travel.Ontwerp en vervaardig stelsels en substelsels van projekte;- Projek - en hulpbronnebestuur van werksversoeke;- Bied raad en leiding ten opsigte van meganiese of elektronies ontwerp aan kollegas en studente;- Verskaf tegniese en logistieke ondersteuning aan studente met praktika en projekwerk;- Bestuur die begroting, finansies en aankope vir die werkswinkel;- Beplan en bestuur die onderhoud en ontwikkeling van die werkswinkel area en toerusting;- Ontwikkel prosedures en standaarde vir die gebruik van die werkswinkel;- Bestuur en mentor die tegniese personeel;- Onderneem af en toe projek-verwante plaaslike reise. Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes- BTech in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering (NQF level 7 or equivalent), or higher;- Technical experience at a senior level of at least seven years' in support of technical qualification;- At least three years' project and resources management experience;- At least three years' personnel management experience;- The ability and willingness to learn new skills and to undergo further training;- The ability to work independently and in a group setting;- Good computer skills (MS Office, CAD software);- Good communication skills;- Experience in a mechanical workshop;- Electrical or electronic experience;- A valid driver's licence.BTech in Elektroniese of Megatroniese Ingenieurswese (NKR vlak 7 of gelykwaardig), of hoër;- Tegniese ervaring op 'n seniorvlak van minstens sewe jaar ter ondersteuning van tegniese kwalifikasie;- Minstens drie jaar se projek - en hulpbronnebestuurservaring;- Minstens drie jaar se personeelbestuurservaring;- Die vermoë en bereidwilligheid om nuwe vaardighede aan te leer en verdere opleiding te ondergaan;- Die vermoë om selfstandig en in groepsverband te werk;- Goeie rekenaarvaardighede (MS Office, CAD-sagteware);- Goeie kommunikasievaardighede;- Ervaring in 'n meganiese werkswinkel;- Elektriese of elektroniese ervaring;- 'n Geldige rybewys. Recommendation/Aanbeveling- Experience in the manufacturing of high-frequency hardware, e.g., antennas, waveguides, etc.;- Manufacturing experience in using a variety of isolating and conducting materials;- Experience in a training environment.Ervaring in die vervaardiging van hoëfrekwensie hardeware, bv., antennas, golfleiers, ens.;- Ervaring in vervaardiging wat gebruik maak van 'n verskeidenheid isolator en geleiedende materiale;- Ervaring in 'n opleidingsomgewing.
