This trend-setting, award-winning 60-seater restaurant set on a private wine estate in the Franschhoek Valley offers modern cuisine matched with signature wines. With a choice of either 3 or 7 courses paired with wines, the food style has a distinct overseas/international flair with intricate plating components, beautifully styled and eclectic flavors of Europe, the Far East fused with South African ingredients. Open Tuesday to Saturday offering lunch and dinner service only and a team of 8 chefs.

ProStaffSelect is in search of a highly passionate and multi-skilled SOUS CHEF to lead and support in developing a strong team in this creative world of culinary arts. Our head chef has settled in the Franschhoek Valley and now presents this extraordinary gourmet experience for local visitors and in-house Villa guests.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Recognized 1 or 2 years FULL-TIME Cheffing Qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a strict fine dining team at a similar Junior Sous chef level.
  • Ability to engineer and create daily changing dishes.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be PASSIONATE about food, know your basics, display a positive attitude and truly excited about your cheffing career and goals.
  • Demonstrate strengths in food costing, stock controls, and waste management.
  • Efficient computer skills as well as a working knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems.
  • Experience in managing staff, handling HR issues, disciplinaries, etc.
