Learner Silo Operator

Description: Join our team as a Grain Production Technician, where you will perform varied and complex tasks related to the manufacturing function in a grain handling environment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring continuous grain protection and maintaining operational efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and Control:
  • Continuously monitor the flow of grain.
  • Oversee grain protection through fumigation as directed by the supervisor.
  • Monitor grain tube temperatures and report any deviations to your superior.
  • Measure grain tubes according to policy and safety regulations.
  • Operate the silo following VKB Group's policy and regulations.

Requirements:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
  • Certificate in Grain Grading and Grain Fumigation.
• Experience:
  • Experience in a similar environment is advantageous.

Skills Required:

• Responsible and punctual.
• Conflict management skills.
• Initiative and proactive approach.
