Mechanic

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
  • Completed N2 - Tractor Mechanic
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a mechanic
  • Thorough, precise, and accurate work approach
  • Clear Criminal Record
  • Strong teamwork skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Quotations and Customer Service:
    • Compile quotations according to customer needs and specifications.
    • Build long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
  2. Mechanical Work:
    • Service, repair, and overhaul the mechanical parts of agricultural equipment and vehicles.
    • Ensure all work sheets for services rendered are completed according to VKB’s policies and procedures.
  3. Compliance and Standards:
    • Comply with all Health and Safety standards.
    • Correctly complete all guarantee claims and claims information.
  4. Training and Mentoring:
    • Train and mentor relevant personnel regarding VKB’s policies and procedures.
  5. Marketing and Sales:
    • Cross-market all relevant products and promotions.
  6. Liaison and Communication:
    • Maintain continuous liaison with internal departments, suppliers, and clients.
  7. Ad Hoc Duties:
    • Perform daily ad hoc duties as required.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer and supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to train and mentor others.
