Qualified Millwright Position based in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa Our Company The company was formed in 1996 to provide a service to heavy industry, light industry and commercial businesses. Our core business is the testing, maintenance, repairs and installations of low and medium voltage switchgear and associated equipment up to 132KV. Minimum Requirements: 1.Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience. 2.Must have passed a Millwright trade test 3.Strong mechanical and electrical experience and knowledge 4.Be in position of a valid driver’s licence Must be computer literate Personal Requirements: 1.Willing to travel when required 2.Willing to work long unpredictable hours 3.Have initiative, high energy levels, self-motivated and be passionate about their work 4.Works well under pressure 5. Have good organisational skills 6.Works well with peers and customers Responsibilities: 1.Assist in design of retrofit solutions 2.Responsible for assisting with the assembly, testing of retrofit solutions. 3. Responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks on mechanical and electrical equipment. 4. Utilizing power tools and hand tools to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment 5. Inspect the tooling and determine spares and consumables requirements 6. Ability to read & interpret specifications & drawings 7. Communicating effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities 8. Perform electrical maintenance & carry out tests on LV, MV & HV switchgear & associated equipment 9. Fault find on LV, MV & HV switchgear, protection & associated equipment 10. Panel wiring, construction & installation 11. Experience across a broad range of systems 12.
