EXTERNAL VACANCY: RECEIVING CLERK First Fit Shopfitters is a fast-growing company offering shopfitting service and quality products which includes designing, manufacturing and turnkey operations to the S.A. Retail & Pharmaceutical Retail industry. The Company is searching for a competent Receiving Clerk who can join our dynamic and skilled team in managing and controlling the receiving function. The prerequisites for the position are as follows; • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent. • Computer literate, relevant qualifications will be beneficial. • Code 08 Drivers License • Good English communication skills The main purpose of the position; • To make sure that goods are received in good quality and with correct information. Ensure that the flow of information is forwarded to the buyer or respective persons. The responsibilities for position will include, but not limited to; • Receive goods or material and ensure it corresponds to order or delivery note. • Check quality, quantity, and length as per order. • Assist with offloading of material and packing it in the stores or respective areas where it is fully identifiable. • Take original delivery note to buyer or respective person to capture the order. • To report all discrepancies to the buyer or logistics manager. • Keep a detailed log of goods received and inform the planning department and logistics when goods arrive. • Take full responsibility for all goods received under your control to prevent stock losses. • Be able to assist production in identifying information. • Assist in expediting late orders and balances in despatch. • Required to do monthly stock taking. • Maintain good housekeeping. • Perform all other duties as instructed by your superior from time to time.
