Responsibilities :

  • Undertaking of support activities relating to the stakeholder and its support structures.
  • Provide Secretariat services for the stakeholder structures including facilitation of sittings, agenda setting, member invitations, meetings minutes and following up on action areas.
  • Undertaking of support activities relating to the coordination of the annual Eastern Cape Investment Conference.
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting on private sector investments including managing the investment declaration process linked to the provincial investment conference.
  • Provision of municipal support relating to investment project packaging and project development.
  • Coordination and provision of support to district and metro development agencies’ trade and investment promotion efforts.
  • Coordination of engagements with SA foreign missions and local embassies engagement in relation to trade and investment.
  • Private sector and public investment challenges tracking, referral of the same for resolution, and reporting on progress on project implementation including spend
  • Provision of support to the Office of the Premier with regard to relations management and effective communication with the private sector contingent of the Provincial Investment Council
  • Development of ad hoc and periodic reports on the work of the stakeholder and its structures

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • B Degree in Commerce/Development Studies with a minimum of 10 yrs relevant working experience of which 3 years should be in trade / investment coordination or development management. Experience in liaising with stakeholders at a high level and secretariat competencies will be an added advantage.
