Our client, based in Port Elizabeth, a leading manufacturer of high quality, reliable and compliant cleaning solutions, catering to both home and industrial sectors is looking to employ a Sales Rep, preferably with experience in selling Cleaning Solutions. Bring in new sales. LIAISE WITH • Internal sales coordinators • Drivers • Production manager • Operations manager • Office manager • Warehouse manager • Buyer • Dispatch supervisor • Finance • Marketing Manager EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS • Grade 12 • Certificate in Sales MINIMUM EXPERIENCE • Minimum of 4 year’s sales experience SKILLS REQUIRED • Product Awareness • Computer literacy • Customer focused • Attention to detail • Excellent communication skills • Strong technical skills – comfortable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) • Excellent networking and communications skills (verbal and written) • Driver’s license with reliable transport DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES • High degree of self-motivation & ambition • Time management & prioritization skills (good time management, planning and follow-up skills, as well as ability to meet deadline • Must be bilingual • Professional personal presentation (well groomed) • Must be target driven • Able to work under pressure • Accountable, responsible, and reliable • Skills to work both independently and as part of a team • Customer focused • Honest & reliable • Confidential KEY RESULTS AREA ADMINISTRATION: • E-mail price lists and/or product pictures to customers upon requests • Ensure filing of customer quotations/tenders/etc. is up to date and neatly filled. • Ensure customer quotations are followed up on and seen through • Ensure your sales budget by customer is updated and that your personal sales budget is met on a monthly basis • Update customer price lists and assist in setting regional standard price lists whenever pricing changes happens. CUSTOMER SALES • Service existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule. (I.e.: customer appointments need to be scheduled at least 1 day in advance) • Grow existing accounts by increasing their basket of products bought from Columbus Cleaning Solutions • Provide a written, clearly defined goal for every customer call – update this in your CRM entry on Smartedge • Uphold a professional/high standard in the marketplace with regards to the image you portray – remember you are ‘the face of the company’. • Monitors competition by gathering marketplace information on existing and new products, pricing, technical information, etc. • Work out special customer pricing as per agreed upon margins with Branch Manager. • Cold call / General sales • New sales customers of at least four per month • Training – product training • Advise buyer on client specific requirements • Price increases • Deleting of old quotes • Sending MSDS’s and PDS’s to clients CUSTOMER SERVICE • Offer regular product awareness training to customers as well as our in-house sales team. • Help out with urgent deliveries to customers if/when needed. • Manage all service or quality related complaints from your customers and ensure that information regarding complaints gets sent through to the branch manager and national imports buyer. • Assist front office ladies with walk-in customers if/when needed. DEBTORS • Assist with debt collecting if/when your customers have not settled their accounts by mid-month. (It is ultimately your responsibility to ensure payments are received from your customers a sale is not a sale until the money is in the bank) STOCKS • Participates in quarterly branch stock takes which will take place over a Thurs/Friday afternoon & Saturday morning/mid-afternoon. OTHER TASKS • Follow up on quotes with customers • Staff meetings • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting • Any other reasonable requests • Time management
